The whole thing was done in Photoshop but I think you can easily repeat it in other programs and even with traditional media. Follow the steps and create your own artwork! Post your drawing on DeviantArt with the tag #CherryBlossomChallenge and get a Profile badge! You can upload your deviation using this link: https://www.deviantart.com/submit/?tags=cherryblossomchallenge - required tag will be added automatically! (: Let's start! I. Draw the first flower. Start by drawing a small circle with 5 lines extending from it. Now make a sketch of the petals of our flower. On the left side of the picture I show you how to draw it easily step by step. At this stage, it is worth focusing on the general arrangement of each element and not going into detail. Once the sketch is ready, we can create a new layer and start to make a

Sea otters will hold hands so they don’t drift apart from each other while they rest which might be the most precious thing ever. Did you know when they do this in a group it's called a raft? Since this month's theme is "Better Together" let’s draw a pair of snuggly sea otters! Follow along with my tutorial and post your result on DeviantArt with the tag #BetterTogetherTutorial to get this adorable badge for your profile! This tutorial is presented using digital media but can be done traditionally as well. Start off by drawing a heart! Roughly the same shape as the heart shaped candies you get around Valentine’s Day so not too narrow but also not too squat. Now inside the upper part of the heart on the left side, draw a big number 3. Do the same on the other side. You’ll have two kidney beans inside the heart. This is going to be the body of the two otters. Close off the upper part of the 3’s on both sides to represent the head of the otters. Now draw in a few loops at the

Feature: Drawing Humans and Undiscovered Art
This curated feature is brought to you by @BeckyKidus It’s May, and people who follow me know I’m in the middle of a feature series showcasing tutorials and undiscovered artwork. The first part of this feature includes tutorials related to drawing human figures, and the second part is a selection of artwork I’ve discovered recently with fewer than 50 favourites. I post a feature like this once a month, on or around the 15th. If you’d like to see more features like this, previous features I’ve put together are linked at the bottom of this journal. I hope you're able to make use of these great tutorials and enjoy beautiful art you may not have seen!
